Marvelous Showcase 2024
Marvelous shared their new game showcase for 2024. It includes Farmagia, Story of Seasons, Rune Factory, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, and their mobile and arcade titles as well as an indie spotlight.

It’s crazy to think that Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure came out 25 years ago on the PlayStation, but it is also crazier to realize there are two sequels (Ballad of the Little Princess and Memories of Marl Kingdom) that are being bundled into an anniversary collection for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. I absolutely loved the first game, and was enthralled with the idea of a musical RPG. It was light and silly fare, but was perfectly at home among some of the stranger RPG titles on the PlayStation.

Seven Pirates H (限界凸旗 セブンパイレーツ) is the fourth game in the Genkai Tokki (限界凸旗) series, which has long been known for its dedication to fan service and ecchi (naughty) gameplay. Parute, a pirate girl, is stranded on an island and decides to search for treasure. Along the way, she meets monster girls that join her party. Level progression is unique in this game since it is based on breast size for common traits. For example, the larger the breasts, the higher the attack power while the smaller the breast, the higher the speed. Yes, really.
This, and the Mary Skelter series, are examples of how Nintendo has cast off its censorship image and Sony has tightened up theirs. Whereas Mary Skelter was censored on the Playstation, it was left intact on the Switch.
